1. MANAGING & DISABLING MOBILE PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
The BudgetFitter Mobile App offers real-time push alerts for flash deal drops, price cuts on brands you follow in your Deal Feed, and Ally Rewards mission verification updates. You have complete control over these alerts at all times:
- In-App Notification Preferences:
- Open the BudgetFitter Mobile App.
- Navigate to Account / Profile > Notification Settings.
- Toggle off specific alert categories (such as “Deal Feed Drops”, “Daily Discovery”, or “Mission Updates”) according to your preference.
- Operating System Level Disabling (iOS & Android):
- On Apple iOS: Open device Settings > BudgetFitter > Notifications > toggle “Allow Notifications” to OFF.
- On Google Android: Open device Settings > Apps & Notifications > BudgetFitter > Notifications > toggle OFF.
When disabled, your device push token is immediately deactivated in our dispatch queue, ensuring zero unsolicited alerts.
2. UNSUBSCRIBING FROM THE FITTER NEWSLETTER
Browsing BudgetFitter does not require an account. If you have subscribed to our curated weekly email publication (The Fitter Newsletter) and wish to stop receiving communications, you can unsubscribe immediately using any of the following methods:
- One-Click Footer Link: Open any email sent by BudgetFitter and click the “Unsubscribe” or “Manage Email Preferences” link located at the bottom of the message. Your email address will be instantly removed from active distribution queues.
- RFC 8058 Header Unsubscribe: In supporting email clients (Apple Mail, Gmail, Outlook), click the native “Unsubscribe” button displayed at the top of the email header.
- Manual Suppression Request: You can send an email with the subject line “Unsubscribe Newsletter” to [email protected], and our systems will manually suppress your address within 24 hours.
Note: Unsubscribing from our self-hosted newsletter suppresses your email from promotional dispatches but does not delete any registered user account you may have separately created on the Web or Mobile App.
3. SELF-SERVICE IN-APP ACCOUNT DELETION (iOS & ANDROID)
In full compliance with Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play policy, you can initiate the permanent deletion of your BudgetFitter account directly within our native mobile application:
- Open the BudgetFitter Mobile App on your iOS or Android device.
- Tap the Profile / Account tab in the bottom navigation bar.
- Select Settings & Privacy.
- Scroll to the Data & Security section and tap “Delete My Account”.
- Review the confirmation notice detailing the loss of followed brands, Deal Feed sync, and pending Ally Rewards missions, then confirm your request by entering your password or authenticating with biometric ID.
- Your account authentication tokens (Firebase JWT) will be revoked immediately, and all personal records will be scheduled for permanent database purging.
4. WEB-BASED ACCOUNT & DATA DELETION PORTAL
If you no longer have the BudgetFitter Mobile App installed on your device, or if you registered your account via our Website, you can delete your account and all associated personal data via the web:
